Now On Pinterest

Pinterest has been around for several years now. I have looked at the site for quite some time, but never really been sure of how to take advantage of the site.

I have heard lots of talk about the site and have decided to take the plunge.

You can follow my zazzle board at On Zazzle by clicking on this link or  by following the widget on the right margin of the blog page.

I hope that you will follow my new Pinterest page and possibly share a few of the best pins that you find there.

Where Have I Been?

Some of you may be wondering where I have been.

Well I have been working at a local public service television station here in Fresno.

I had the opportunity to go through several classes on television production. Doing things like working in the  television studio, classes on how to approach screen-writing and finally working on a short movie.

This meant lots of work away from my desk and lots of stuff got put on the back burner.

I also picked up some tips on marketing, a very important skill in television. I will not tell you about those just yet. I will try out some of the lessons for you. Then come back to let you know which work best for me.

So I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving and lets look forward to a good Christmas and New Year.

Put Your Name in Tags

One way of increasing your appearance in searches is to put either your own name and/or your store name in the tags area of the seller tool page.

People can remember your name, so they may search for your zazzle store or items on Google but if your name is not prominantly mentioned in the TAGS area they may not be able to find you.

Same with  your store.

Use two of your Tags for your own name and your store name at least. Eight of the other tags will suffice for general search tags.

Black Labrador Collection

Recently Zazzle introduced the collections tab.

Store owners  can collect items from their own and other designers stores into themed collections.

One of my new collections is the Black Labrador. It contains all sorts of items with the common factor of having a black Labrador Retriever on them.

Anything from dog gifts to human tee shirts, all items have a "Black Lab Theme".

Take a look by following this link.

Halloween Party Invitation

Halloween will soon be here again. Lots of party fun will be going on. So how about a creepy dog invitation to give your guests a chill from the moment they know that you have a party?

This photograph was one of those happy accidents.

I was photographing my dog with  bright sunlight coming into the room behind him. I accidently used flash on my camera and as it happened my dog was looking straight back at me.

The result would have been "red-eye" in a normal photograph, but here it gave him bright shining eyes which give him a sinister, devilish appearance.
